Spring at last! The perfect time to detoxify your body and replenish your vitamin stores. Spring offers a wide range of vegetables, leafy greens, fruit and herbs that make wonderful fresh smoothies. For this delicious smoothie, I picked fresh wild garlic from the forest and combined it with baby spinach, cucumber, ginger, apple and banana. Wild garlic provides you with lots of vitamin C, folic acid, potassium and phytochemicals. Wild garlic can also help with digestive problems and relieve flatulence. Start your day with this green power drink and support your body in its spring awakening😊

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of wild garlic (approx. 10g)
  • 1 handful of baby spinach
  • 6 cucumber slices (0.5 cm wide)
  • 3cm fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 ripe small banana
  • 1/2 apple with skin, cored
  • 1 lime, juice only
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 300-400ml water or 200ml water + 200ml apple juice (for more sweetness)

This is how it's done

  1. Wash the wild garlic, cucumber and apple. Halve and core the apple. Roughly chop the banana and apple.
  2. Place all the ingredients in the blender with water (or water/apple juice) and blend thoroughly.
  3. Pour into glasses and enjoy fresh😊
